Academic Therapy Publications

Academic Therapy Publications (ATP) is a resource publisher based out of Novato, California. ATP was founded in 1965 by John I. Arena, an educator and therapist who played a significant role in the learning disabilities movement of the 1960s and 1970s. His work helped shape educational approaches for students with learning challenges during that time.

Academic Therapy Publications was among the first publishers to address the needs of teachers, parents, and students in the areas of special education and learning disabilities. Several decades later, ATP is still a family-owned business that specializes in creating standardized tests and remediation for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), school psychologists, occupational therapists, special educators, ESL teachers, parents, and specialists working with persons with reading, learning, and communication disabilities.
