Ask and Answer® "When" Cards is a self-checking fun deck targeting when-question comprehension and production, designed for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers with students in grades prekindergarten through grade 6 and children ages 3 to 12.

Twenty-eight match-up pairs of when-questions and answers give Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers a simple, self-checking activity for building when-question comprehension through familiar, child-friendly content.

Ask and Answer® "When" Cards uses child-friendly illustrations to present 28 when-questions, each paired with its matching answer card. Students match each question card to its answer card, building receptive and expressive skills with temporal concepts and when-question forms. The matching format allows students to self-check their own responses as they play. A free progress tracking datasheet is available for download from Super Duper Publications. By Sharon G. Webber, M.S.

Who is this when-questions fun deck helpful for?

Ask and Answer® "When" Cards is designed to target when-question comprehension and production, temporal concepts, and receptive and expressive language skills in students in grades prekindergarten through grade 6 and children ages 3 to 12. Ideal for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers in individual therapy sessions, small group instruction, or classroom settings.

Why Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers love this fun deck:

When-questions are often acquired later than who, what, and where questions because they require an understanding of temporal concepts rather than concrete objects or people, making a dedicated deck for this question type particularly useful. The match-up format gives students an immediate, self-checking way to confirm whether their response was correct, supporting independent practice without constant clinician feedback. The child-friendly art and simple matching format make the activity accessible and engaging across a wide grade range. By Sharon G. Webber, M.S.
