Many students struggle to draw logical conclusions from visual and contextual clues, affecting their reading comprehension and social understanding. These photo cards provide structured practice in inferential reasoning to strengthen thinking skills and social interpretation.
Build inferential reasoning and social understanding through structured, photo-based practice with visual and contextual clues.
The Inferences Double Dice Add-On Deck helps students develop the ability to interpret information, predict outcomes, and make logical connections based on visual and contextual evidence. Each card presents a realistic photograph depicting a social situation, followed by four inference-based questions that encourage students to interpret nonverbal cues, understand cause and effect, and reason about social contexts. With 216 total questions across 54 cards, this deck provides abundant opportunities to practise inference-making through an engaging, game-based format.
Skill targets:
- Making logical inferences
- Understanding cause and effect
- Interpreting nonverbal cues
- Improving social reasoning
- Enhancing auditory and visual processing
How to play:
- Lay out nine cards face down.
- The student rolls the double dice.
- The outer die shows a shape, so flip over the card with the matching shape.
- The inner die shows a number from 1 to 4, so read the corresponding situation and question.
- The student answers using inferential reasoning.
