MagneTalk Let's Find and Name Things! is a magnetic vocabulary game targeting naming, categorization, and memory based on attributes and functions, designed for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers with students in grades pre-kindergarten and up and children ages 3 to 9.

A 14" x 18" open-ended treasure-themed magnetic game board with category and object tiles gives Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers a flexible, hands-on activity for improving vocabulary, naming, categorizing, and memory skills together.

MagneTalk Let's Find and Name Things! invites students to find and name objects based on what they look like (attributes) and how they are used (functions). The set includes 12 magnetic category tiles (2¼" x 2½") and 24 magnetic object tiles (1¾" x 1¾"), giving students a hands-on way to sort objects into the categories they belong to while practising naming and descriptive language.

Who is this naming game helpful for?

MagneTalk Let's Find and Name Things! is designed to target naming, categorization, attribute and function-based vocabulary, and memory skills in students in grades pre-kindergarten and up and children ages 3 to 9. Ideal for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers in individual therapy sessions or small group vocabulary instruction.

Why Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers love this game:

Teaching vocabulary through attributes and function builds richer semantic representations than naming alone, since students learn to describe what an object looks like and how it is used, not just what it is called. The open-ended treasure theme keeps the activity playful and engaging across repeated sessions. By Sharon G. Webber, M.S. Design by Tony Mitchell and Ryan Bradburn.
