Merry-Go-Sound® Board Game

Merry-Go-Sound® Board Game is a carnival-themed articulation board game targeting S, R, L, SH, CH, and TH sounds at word, phrase, and sentence levels, designed for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers with students in grades kindergarten through grade 5 and children ages 4 to 11.

Four hundred and thirty-two articulation cards presenting target sounds at three levels of complexity give Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers a structured, game-based tool for advancing students through word, phrase, and sentence-level articulation practice in a single resource.

Merry-Go-Sound® Board Game has players move around a colourful carnival game board while drawing articulation cards and saying their target sounds in words, phrases, or sentences. The 432 cards provide 24 cards each targeting initial, medial, and final positions for S, R, L, SH, CH, and TH sounds. Each card presents the target sound at all three levels of complexity — word, phrase, and sentence — allowing clinicians to select the appropriate practice level for each student. The game supports non-readers through auditory memory practice and readers through oral reading skill development simultaneously. Developed by Theresa A. Corino, Thomas Webber and Molly DeShong.
