Ring Bling® is a following directions game targeting basic, conditional, and temporal directions through a motivating ring-earning game format, designed for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and parents with students in grades kindergarten and up and children ages 4 to 10.
Fifty hilarious following directions cards across three levels of complexity give Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and teachers a highly motivating game for building listening, following directions, and creative thinking skills simultaneously.
Ring Bling® has students choose a direction card, act out the direction to earn rings for their Happy Hand, and spin the spinner to determine how many rings they earn — or whether to give one to a friend. The 50 following directions cards are divided across three progressively complex categories: 20 Basic Directions (Beat your chest like an angry gorilla), 15 Conditional Direction Cards (If you like brownies, bark like a dog), and 15 Temporal Direction Cards (After you wave your magic wand, turn yourself into a monkey). The student who earns the most rings wins. Ring Bling® can also be used as a motivating reinforcement activity alongside any articulation, language, reading, or maths materials. Developed by Sarah Michaels, Thea Wilson, Clint Johnson, and Sharon G. Webber.
Who is this following directions game helpful for?
Ring Bling® is designed to target basic, conditional, and temporal following directions alongside listening and creative thinking skills in students in grades kindergarten and up and children ages 4 to 10. Ideal for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and parents supporting therapy goals at home in individual sessions or small groups.
Why Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and parents love this game:
The ring-earning mechanic provides concrete, visible reinforcement for correct direction-following without requiring separate prize materials, and the three card categories allow clinicians and teachers to target directions at the appropriate complexity level for each student or to progress across levels within the same session. The flexibility to use Ring Bling® as a reinforcer alongside any other therapy materials makes it practical across a wide variety of session types. Developed by Sarah Michaels, Thea Wilson, Clint Johnson, and Sharon G. Webber.
