Webber® BIG Box of "What's Wrong with This Picture?" Scenes is a laminated absurdity activity set targeting expressive and receptive language skills, designed for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and parents with students in grades kindergarten and up and children ages 5 to 11.

Seventy-five double-sided laminated boards presenting 150 hilarious absurdity scenes give Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and educators a highly engaging, reusable activity for building vocabulary, problem solving, and expressive language skills.

Webber® BIG Box of "What's Wrong with This Picture?" Scenes presents 150 illustrated absurdity scenes across three levels of difficulty: scenes with one wrong item, three wrong items, and five wrong items. Students identify and circle each wrong item using the included wet-erase markers, then explain what is wrong using complete sentences — naturally targeting vocabulary, expressive language, visual discrimination, and reasoning skills. Wet-erase marks wipe clean after every session, making the boards fully reusable across students and settings. Developed by Sharon and Thomas Webber, illustrated by Mark Bristol.

Who is this absurdity activity set helpful for?

Webber® BIG Box of "What's Wrong with This Picture?" Scenes is designed to target expressive language, vocabulary, visual discrimination, problem solving, and storytelling skills in students in grades kindergarten and up and children ages 5 to 11. Ideal for use by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and parents supporting therapy goals at home in individual sessions, small group instruction, or classroom settings.

Why Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and parents love this activity set:

The absurd, humorous scenes consistently hold student attention and naturally prompt multi-word expressive responses without requiring additional prompting. The three levels of difficulty allow clinicians and teachers to select the appropriate challenge for each student or to progress through levels within the same resource, and the laminated, wet-erase format eliminates the need to replace or reprint materials across repeated use.

Webber® BIG Box of "What's Wrong with This Picture?" Scenes includes:

  • 75 double-sided, laminated activity boards (8½" x 11") — 150 scenes total
  • 150 absurdity scenes across three levels: 1 wrong item, 3 wrong items, and 5 wrong items
  • 4 wet-erase markers

Caution: Choking hazard, contains small parts. Not intended for children under the age of three.
